A forgotten civilization in the Arctic
Many millennia ago, when the world was still riddled with unexplored territories and myths, a people lived deep in the Arctic, hidden from the eyes of the rest of humanity. These people possessed a unique ability: they could create depictions of people, animals and plants in the snow, which came to life through the interplay of sunlight and cold. During the day, the works of art melted gently in the warmth of the sun's rays, only to freeze again when the cold set in and reveal themselves in their full splendor.
These ephemeral works of art, created from nothing but ice and snow, have survived the millennia. In 1876, an expedition travelling through the Arctic discovered the astonishing traces of this long-forgotten civilization. Photographs were taken of the mystical images that seemed to have been preserved in the eternal ice. But when the expedition returned, the photographs had mysteriously disappeared - possibly stolen, or perhaps they had simply vanished into thin air, just like the last remnants of this mysterious art in the snow.
