Light but visible length adjustment

The 4 cm hem shortening is a light but clearly visible alteration. It is suitable when a Long sleeve Button-up shirt, blouse or T-shirt looks somewhat too long and the proportions between upper body and legs do not appear ideal.

With this alteration, the hem is shortened evenly all around. The front and back are adjusted to the same height. The original hem is cut off and then sewn again professionally.

For more harmonious body proportions

A 4 cm shortening can be useful when the garment visually shortens the legs. This often applies to people with a shorter body height or to those for whom a regular-length garment falls too low.

For Long sleeve Button-up shirts, the middle of the back pocket of a pair of trousers is a good reference point. The hem should sit roughly in this area so that the shirt does not look too long while still keeping enough length.
