FILITARI is a men’s long sleeve button-up shirt with a predominantly white appearance and carefully placed accents in green, red and fine dark lines. The design does not cover every surface heavily; it allows the brightness of the fabric to remain visible. This gives the shirt its special balance: fresh, natural, light and still clearly artistic. The pattern suggests watercourses, plant structures, traces of wind or an abstract landscape made of light and motion. The design was created by Gregor-T. Kozik, the Chemnitz-based painter and graphic artist who was one of the founding members of the Clara Mosch artists’ group. His combination of traditional and experimental visual language suits FILITARI particularly well. No standard repeat print, but precise size-specific placement

The essential difference lies in the construction. FILITARI is not repeat fabric, not a random allover print and not a motif that has simply been enlarged or reduced. At GERMENS, individual print data is prepared for every size. The artwork is adapted to the proportions of that size and placed precisely across the 21 separate shirt pieces. Only then is the cotton fabric, made in Saxony, printed, carefully hand-cut and tailored. This is why the composition can continue across front panels, back, sleeves, collar and cuffs with a coherent visual flow. The shirt looks balanced in XS as well as in 6XL. It is not just a printed cotton shirt, but a complete piece of wearable art.

100% cotton, precise workmanship and daily comfort

FILITARI is made from 100% cotton. The fabric is natural, skin-friendly, breathable, comfortable, odour-neutral and durable. It feels pleasant during long days and is suitable for travel, work, leisure and special occasions. The workmanship reinforces this quality: tight stitching along the edges, sturdy buttons sewn with a shank, angled cuffs, the GERMENS collar notch and a Kent collar with stainless steel collar stays provide structure, stability and refined detail. The edition is limited to 99 pieces; sizes that are not immediately available are made individually, which avoids overproduction and may take several weeks.

For customers new to GERMENS, the home try-on service is a useful way to reduce uncertainty before ordering. The service is free; only a small deposit is charged and later refunded or credited. This makes it possible to compare sizes from XS to 6XL at home and choose the fit with more confidence.

After purchase, the alteration service can help with shortening sleeves, adjusting the waist, adding back darts or shortening the hem. Care remains straightforward: wash at 30 degrees, use colour detergent without bleach, add a small amount of fabric softener if desired, avoid tumble drying, and use hot ironing or a shirt finishing form. GERMENS only uses its own designs, which are only available here. For each garment – in every size from XS to 6XL – the pattern pieces are printed individually and accurately on high-quality cotton fabric.

The fabric is then finished so that the colors remain permanently brilliant, the fabric is washable, suitable for everyday use and comfortable to wear – without any unpleasant odors.

GERMENS only produces what has actually been ordered. This is very sustainable and ensures lasting value. After printing, the fabrics are cut – traditionally by hand. The skilled worker is visually guided by the design and cuts each piece individually. The result is a perfect fit in which art and cut interact perfectly.

Careful tailoring in the manufactory

After cutting, the many individual pieces are sewn together in a Polish family business with great care and many years of experience. High-quality finishing details – such as finely stitched edges or buttons with handles – and fine fabrics guarantee that every GERMENS garment will give you long-lasting pleasure.
