The artwork was created by René König. The design combines sunny yellow and orange tones with fresh blue, turquoise, green and vivid contrasts. GERMENS prepares individual print data for every size from XS to 6XL. Colour fields, light zones, vertical movements, collar sections, cuffs and sleeves are adapted to the proportions of each size and precisely positioned across 21 separate shirt parts.

Only after this planning process is the cotton fabric, produced in Saxony, printed individually and carefully cut by hand. This is why THE COLORS OF MIAMI looks balanced in every size. Front, back, sleeves, collar and cuffs do not appear randomly patterned; they form one coherent visual composition. What might otherwise be a bright design shirt becomes a complete piece of wearable art.

Pure cotton, precise details and everyday comfort

THE COLORS OF MIAMI is made from 100% cotton. The fabric is produced in Saxony and feels natural, skin-friendly, breathable and comfortable. Cotton is odor-neutral, durable and suitable for everyday wear – important for a shirt whose colours create attention but which should still remain pleasant for long days, travel and evening events.

Precise workmanship and everyday use

The construction follows the precise GERMENS standard. Very tight stitching along the edges creates clean contours, sturdy buttons are sewn on with a shank, angled cuffs give the sleeves a distinctive line, and the Kent collar is supported by removable stainless-steel collar stays for shape and stability. The characteristic GERMENS collar notch adds a subtle signature detail.

Customers new to GERMENS can use the home try-on service before ordering. The service itself is free; only a small deposit is charged and later refunded or credited. This makes it possible to check size, fit and colour impact calmly at home before choosing THE COLORS OF MIAMI.

The edition of THE COLORS OF MIAMI is limited to 99 pieces. If a selected size is not in stock, it is made individually, so production may take several weeks. This demand-oriented process helps avoid unnecessary overproduction. If the fit needs refinement after purchase, the alteration service can help with sleeve shortening, waist adjustments, back darts or hem shortening. For lasting colour and shape, wash at 30 degrees, use colour detergent without bleach, add a little fabric softener if desired, avoid tumble drying and iron hot or use a shirt finishing mannequin. Further advice is available in the care instructions. Treated this way, THE COLORS OF MIAMI remains vivid, stable and ready for conversations about sun, city and wearable joy.

GERMENS only uses its own designs, which are only available here. For each garment – in every size from XS to 6XL – the pattern pieces are printed individually and accurately on high-quality cotton fabric.

The fabric is then finished so that the colors remain permanently brilliant, the fabric is washable, suitable for everyday use and comfortable to wear – without any unpleasant odors.

GERMENS only produces what has actually been ordered. This is very sustainable and ensures lasting value. After printing, the fabrics are cut – traditionally by hand. The skilled worker is visually guided by the design and cuts each piece individually. The result is a perfect fit in which art and cut interact perfectly.

Careful tailoring in the manufactory

After cutting, the many individual pieces are sewn together in a Polish family business with great care and many years of experience. High-quality finishing details – such as finely stitched edges or buttons with handles – and fine fabrics guarantee that every GERMENS garment will give you long-lasting pleasure.
