In addition to the factory teams, so-called "satellite teams" also compete, which use factory machines from the aforementioned manufacturers from previous seasons. This mix of established manufacturers and up-and-coming talents makes for exciting duels and tough competition on the race track.

It is interesting to note that, apart from the number "1" reserved for the previous season's world champion, the starting number worn by a rider and his bike does not reflect any competitive ranking. Rather, it is a career starting number that a rider freely chooses when moving up to MotoGP, apart from the occupied and blocked numbers.

Jonas Folger

Juli 2024
