STACHELHAUT NEON feels like a shirt born after dark, when black surfaces begin to reflect city lights and every color becomes sharper. Its name suggests skin, edge and resistance. Across the deep black ground, red, blue, cyan, green and orange elements move like illuminated traces beneath a living surface. They do not form a quiet decorative pattern. They appear to pulse, branch and collide, as if the shirt were carrying its own internal current. This is the story the wearer can tell: it is a design about tension, protection, movement and visible energy.

This GERMENS long sleeve shirt is a colorful shirt for men with a strong artistic character. The black base gives the composition depth and makes it surprisingly wearable; the neon accents create a sharp, unmistakable contrast. The artwork was created by GREGOR-T. KOZIK, a German painter and graphic artist from Chemnitz. According to the artist category, he was one of the founding members of the Clara Mosch artists’ group and is also a co-founder of GERMENS artfashion. His visual language combines distinctive artistic expression with both traditional and experimental techniques. In STACHELHAUT NEON, this becomes visible through a powerful mix of organic forms, graphic sharpness and intense color contrasts.

Not a repeated pattern, but a size-specific wearable artwork

The decisive difference lies in the way GERMENS creates its shirts. STACHELHAUT NEON is not simple repeat fabric, not a random all-over print and not a design that is merely enlarged or reduced for different sizes. The print data are adjusted individually for every size. The artwork is positioned precisely across 21 separate pattern pieces, then cut by hand with considerable care. This process allows the design to look coherent in XS as well as in 6XL. Front, back, sleeves, collar and cuffs do not carry disconnected fragments; they become part of one complete visual composition.

The fabric is made in Saxony and consists of 100% cotton. As a cotton shirt for men, it is natural, skin-friendly, breathable and comfortable. Cotton is odor-neutral, durable and suitable for everyday wear, which makes this shirt not only striking but also practical. It can be worn at events, on creative business days, while travelling, at dinners or simply whenever the wardrobe needs something with more character than an ordinary black, red or blue shirt.

Craftsmanship, fit and long-term wear

To preserve the intensity of the colors and the quality of the cotton, wash STACHELHAUT NEON at 30 degrees with color detergent without bleach. A small amount of fabric softener may be used. It should not be tumble-dried; hot ironing or a shirt ironing form helps restore a clean shape. More details are available in the care instructions. GERMENS only uses its own designs, which are only available here. For each garment – in every size from XS to 6XL – the pattern pieces are printed individually and accurately on high-quality cotton fabric.

The fabric is then finished so that the colors remain permanently brilliant, the fabric is washable, suitable for everyday use and comfortable to wear – without any unpleasant odors.

Careful cutting by hand

GERMENS only produces what has actually been ordered. This is very sustainable and ensures lasting value. After printing, the fabrics are cut – traditionally by hand. The skilled worker is visually guided by the design and cuts each piece individually. The result is a perfect fit in which art and cut interact perfectly.

After cutting, the many individual pieces are sewn together in a Polish family business with great care and many years of experience. High-quality finishing details – such as finely stitched edges or buttons with handles – and fine fabrics guarantee that every GERMENS garment will give you long-lasting pleasure.
